Christoper Allen (Santa Monica, CA) has been a database professional for almost 20 years. He is an OCP DBA and an OCP Application Developer, and has worked on numerous Oracle Financials implementations, as well as many custom development projects. In addition, he has taught several hundred computer classes, resulting in extensive experience communicating technical information in ways that are easy to absorb and easy to remember. His published works include "PL/SQL 101" (Oracle Press), the "Oracle Certified Professional Application Developer Exam Guide" (co-author, Oracle Press), the "Oracle Certified Professional Financial Applications Consultant Exam Guide" (co-author, Oracle Press), and books published by Que and John Wiley Publishing. He runs a consulting practice in Los Angeles, and can be reached at databasedude@netscape.net. Vivian Chow is the founder of Metier, an Oracle Partner company that provides consulting services in the Southern California and Arizona area. Another strong OCP exam guide from Oracle Press

Last year I used Oracle Press's OCP Developer exam guide to prepare for, and pass, the Developer/2000 exams. The book worked great. Now I need to apply my Forms knowledge to creating custom Financials screens, so I bought this book. Its excellent. It gives the underlying logic behind Financials, and then goes into screen-by-screen detail. Very helpful. After buying this book and starting to read it, I've rescheduled my first Apps exam from a month away to next week!

Maybe it's just me, but the other books on Oracle Financials just didn't make explain things in a way I really understood. This one did! I've rocked through two of the exams already, with near-perfect scores - way above what was needed to pass. Well done, Oracle Press!
